TTI Manual Illustrations

Task:

Create clean and informative illustrations to give accurate instructions on how to use and repair their RYOBI, Ridgid, and HART power equipment.

Response:

TTI Power Equipment is a company that develops many different types of power tools and equipment for brands such as RYOBI, Ridgid, and HART. During my employment with TTI, I provided the illustrations for over 200 manuals and parts lists for all three brands! While I had many years of experience in the Adobe Creative Suite, and quickly picked up Solidworks and Solidworks Composer, the most effective tool for my job as a technical illustrator was communication. For each project, the technical illustrator would work closely with the technical writers and engineers to best explain how to safely use and repair each new power tool or equipment. Safety and clarity were just as important for small projects such as power drills, to complex riding lawn mowers!
