Uncovered DVD Packaging Mockup

Task:

Create mockup DVD covers for a hypothetical documentary series based on famous designers from the mid-century.

Response:

At Anderson University, we learned the craft and techniques of graphic design along side it’s history. In doing so, we were tasked with creating DVD covers for a hypothetical documentary series based on four designers of our choice. To reflect their work, the abstract shapes chosen for each artist reflect their work. For example, Alvin Lustig’s cover is based on the shapes from a book cover he designed for Rimbaud’s A Season in Hell. And as the name suggests, the artist themselves are uncovered by a tear in the design, showing the men behind the art.
