Anderson Lights of Hope
Task:
Create branding to separate Anderson Lights of Hope from their holiday event, the Christmas Gift Light Festival.
Response:
When it was founded in 1993, Anderson Lights of Hope was focused solely on it’s holiday light show of the same name. However, this also limited Anderson Lights of Hope’s reach to just the holiday season. When I joined shortly after graduating Anderson University in 2015, I was tasked with creating new branding and promotional material for both the existing foundation and their main holiday light show event. It was a lot for someone who had just graduated, but it was necessary for the organization to host events throughout the year.
The new Anderson Lights of Hope logo was repurposed from the logo that was used before; the star that decorated the top of the tree in their former logo now became untethered to it’s holiday roots. And while many names were suggested, the name of the new light show became the Christmas Gift Light Festival. I would make it’s logo with a similar star motif, this time using the stars to make a constellation gift box!
