Delta Power Equipment Co. Website

Task:

Design a new website from the ground up with WordPress and Woocommerce. The website must provide ease of use in displaying and managing Delta Power Equipment’s product catalogue.

Response:

Before I joined Delta Power Equipment Co., their previous website was made by a previous employee that had since left. As there was no content management system in place, it was difficult to manage individual product pages and site organization as a whole. I already had experience with WordPress, and this was necessary in developing a responsive, organized, and easy to manage website from scratch. Manually transferring all of the 300+ items from their previous website to Woocommerce was no easy task, but it would make future additions and corrections easier. This allowed me to also tag and catalogue their products so that they could organized for users and developers alike. 

Once the website launched in December 2023, I lead a project to record the history of the Deltagram, a bi-monthly magazine that ran from 1932-1972. Delta had held on to many of the Deltagrams that had been released during it’s forty year run, so I carefully scanned and touched up each spread that I could. By releasing the Deltagrams to the public once again, the website can inspire people who are new to the hobby, as well as those who read the Deltagram while it was in print!
