Solar Eclipse Photography

Task:

Take photos of the Great American 2017 Solar Eclipse.

Response:

The phenomena of the moon crossing paths with the sun, a celestial dance that I was fortunate enough to encounter.  I had just moved to Greenville a few months before the eclipse would align, looking for employment while also starting back at Greenville Technical College. I knew I would need to take the PHP course to graduate, but its first class would have started when the eclipse was at it’s peak. So I had chosen another programming course, and had the whole day to set up for the eclipse. I used my Nikon D750 and a 8″ diameter telescope to take the amazing photos below.

Like the eclipse itself, these photos would lead me to an encounter of my own. When I returned to school, I was told that one of the classes I had signed up for did not have enough people to hold the class. So in the end, I was able to take that PHP course that semester. While it was difficult, it gave me the skills I would need for future projects using WordPress, such as the Delta Power Equipment website!
